Job responsibilities:
Sales Management
Achieve the daily sales call target with a focus on effectiveness.
Generate weekly business leads for the hotel.
Compile a monthly list of accounts to target for the following month.
Schedule a minimum of 2 site inspections or entertainment meetings per week with qualified potential accounts or new prospects.
Develop a monthly action plan for the main market segment.
Conduct a monthly review of account profiles assessing room nights production and average rates.
Monitor competitors rate strategy account penetration and marketing activities to maintain a competitive advantage.
Take full responsibility for managing assigned accounts including contracting profile updates and contract renewals.
Keep management informed about VIP arrivals and coordinate appropriate meetandgreet activities.
Actively promote and upsell hotel facilities and services at every available opportunity to maximize sales revenue.
Engage in negotiations to secure the best profit and rates for the hotel. Attend hotel client and local community business events to network and enhance visibility.
Provide regular updates to the Director of Sales & Marketing on market trends and potential business leads.
Team Management
Conduct interviews select and recruit direct reports.
Identify and nurture team members with potential.
Conduct performance reviews with the team regularly.
Continuously monitor the appearance attitude and professionalism of team members.
Develop conduct and maintain all staff training programs focusing on their developmental needs and equipping them with new skills to meet evolving business requirements.
Other Responsibilities
Attend all assigned briefings meetings and training sessions as directed by management.
Uphold a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
Familiarize oneself with hotel fire and life safety/emergency procedures.
Fulfill other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

- Demonstrates a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role with a proven track record.
- Possesses excellent proficiency in reading writing and oral communication in the English language.
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel Word and PowerPoint.
