Accounts Payable Accountant

Education and qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial field.
Professional credentials such as CPA (certified public accountant) may be helpful but are not necessary.
Experience:

Previous experience in accounting or accounts payable is an advantage.
Knowledge of common accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
Financial knowledge:

Deep understanding of financial statements, budgeting processes and accounts payable cycle.
Knowledge of local and international accounting laws and regulations.
Analytical and negotiation skills:

Ability to effectively analyze financial data and detect discrepancies and potential problems.
Negotiation and communication skills to deal with suppliers and customers regarding outstanding payments and invoices.
