Lead Projects and Automation Engineer

Purpose of Role:

As a Lead Projects and Automation Engineer youll be a key figure in delivering projects for the Product Line Manager involved from project bid stages to ensuring timely equipment delivery and documentation. Your role extends to managing control and automation software overseeing electrical design work liaising with suppliers providing field service support and contributing to project profitability.

Key Functional Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Lead project delivery on behalf of the Product Line Manager.
• Design and develop software for Military Offshore and other Cathelco group projects.
• Provide electrical and automation technical support across departments.
• Manage software revision systems for designated projects.
• Oversee electrical control panel wiring and construction.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure project progress and timely delivery of elements.

Skills Experience and Qualifications:

Required:

• PLC Programming expertise.
• Indepth knowledge of programming languages: Ladder Logic Structured Text Java C Python.
• Proficiency in HMI Design and Modbus RTU/TCP/IP protocols.
• Threephase electrical wiring circuit design and testing skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently and prioritize workload.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Extensive experience in instrumentation systems equipment and automation.

Limits of Authority:

• Responsibility for budget tracking on electrical projects.
• Management of software revision system for specified projects.
• Collaborative work with departments for project delivery.
• No direct reports currently but potential future automation engineer reporting.

Relationships Required:

• Collaboration with Military Offshore and Ballast Water Production teams.
• Management and guidance for subcontracted electrical projects.
• Close cooperation with internal teams for panel construction documentation and project elements.
• Strong relationships with suppliers agents and companywide technical support.
