We at Chefs Bay are recruiting an experienced Kitchen Porter for a client of ours based in the Nantwich area.

Our client is a College who requires a Kitchen Porter to start from the 1st January on a temp ongoing basis. This is full time and the shifts vary between the hours of 08:0019:00 across MondaySunday.

**For this role you are required to hold an Enhanced DBS for Childrens workforce and must be able to supply contact details for two references 1 being your most recent employer. If you do not have a DBS you must be willing to obtain one**

As a Kitchen Porter your primary responsibility will be to keep the kitchen running smoothly. This will involve:

  • Washing dishes pots pans and utensils efficiently.
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitised kitchen environment.
  • Assisting kitchen staff with food preparation as required.
  • Handling trash and recycling duties.
  • Tracking kitchen inventory and restocking as needed.
  • Following health and safety guidelines.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced kitchen environment.

A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role in a quality fine dining establishment Knowledge of front of house, restaurant, bar, and cellar operations Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Knowledge of food and beverage trends, and the ability to make recommendations based on customer preferences
