Job Description

Your future role & Job Purpose

Job Purpose:

One of our renowned clients in the Shipbuilding industry based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seeking to recruit the QA/QC Supervisor. QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for the interaction &coordination with SAPMT & Contractor for all technical correspondence & information requests relating to the construction installation maintenance inspection and commissioning of the Ras Al Khair shipyard facility.

Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage the flow of information ensuring it is documented and tracked.
  • Develop manage and continually improve the Design Quality Management System
  • Provides supervision training development and performance management of direct reports.
  • Develop manage and continually improve the stage wise inspections PMCC MCC Commissioning endurance test and final handover of each asset.
  • Ensure responses for information requests are dealt with in an efficient manner.
  • Attend meetings with SAPMT & Government Bodies as required documenting minutes providing feedback to the company Management.
  • Support the company Departments providing regular Quality status reports.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to Executive Management as required.
  • Arrange site visits for the company Departments as required during the construction phase.
  • Work closely with HSE to engineer out potential hazards to provide a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Manage training Document Management System and Quality Management system.
  • Planned and executed multiple tasks to ensure controlled documents were managed per procedures.
  • Provided coaching to personnel on Quality systems (QS) to include document control and training. Acted as liaison with electronic quality systems vendor(s).
  • Perform solutions designs support field efforts processes submittals and review stats.
  • Provide guidance and assist the operations and project teams for the implementation of corporate QMS and company management initiatives functions and systems.
  • Ensure that the EPC Contractor Subcontractors and other members of the project team observe Quality Assurance guidelines and report violations of procedure.
  • Manage the Inspection and Test Plan process in conjunction with relevant Department.
  • Make regular visits to Ras Al Khair construction site to inspect status.
  • Utilize knowledge of asset management standards ISO 55000/1/2 and implement during project execution phase as necessary.
  • Conduct periodic Quality Assurance Audits

Who we are looking for

Education:

  • Diploma degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering

Experience:

  • At least 1115 years of industry experience.
  • At least 5 years experience in project management role (Supervisor) in shipbuilding oil & gas or equivalent industry.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Mandatory Certification: CSWIP 3.1 BGAS Grade 2 or NACE LevelII and Certification from ASQ like CQM CQE or CQA.
  • ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor & proficient in Word Excel Power Point Project.

Competencies (Knowledge Skills & Abilities):

  • HSE Accountability and initiative taken for managing maintaining and improving the JV Co.s health safety and environmental performance.
  • Commitment to Quality Ensure continual process improvement alongside an ethos that is committed to ensuring that performance expectations of all assets are continually met.
  • Planning & Organizing Apt at developing long and shortterm plans.
  • Communication To be clear and decisive.
  • Situation Management Dynamic decision making where required.
  • Leadership Ability to effectively communicate strategic direction through sound logical commercial and technical reasoning with all functional areas in the organization. Promote a cando team spirit creating a culture of high standards work ethic and job satisfaction within the department.
  • Business Acumen Experienced in developing implementing and sustaining new business directions/functions with appropriate commercial and technical acumen.

Languages:

  • Good communication skills in English (oral and written)

Knowledge in Arabic language is an advantage.
