ACCOUNTABILITIES
The job holder manages under the responsibility of the Construction CSR all Scaffolding (erection & dismantling) activities
related and shall demonstrate a strong behavior about Construction requirements. The job holder is accountable for the following activities during Jackets & Topsides Project execution:
- Overseeing & Inspect Contractors scaffolding construction activities.
- Ensures compliance with safety procedures and scaffolding codes & standards.
- Ensure that design certification of all scaffolding structures on site are met the requirement.
- Provides proper data input to produce the daily progress reports.
JOB DIMENSIONS
- Scaffolding Supervisor Topsides is responsible for all type of scaffolding Erection/dismantling activities during construction by contractor at yards.
ACTIVITIES
- To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other HSE procedures in all activities
- To carry out work in compliance with values and policies relevant laws and regulations agreed priorities and
objectives standards and procedures and good industry practices - To provide technical advice on scaffolding works and participate in works requiring high level of skills.
- To assess Contractors scaffolding team members for their skills competency and qualification.
- Monitor Contractors daily and weekly work plans in accordance with the priorities & schedule.
- Inform the Construction CSR on specific areas where there is impact on construction schedule and propose mitigations.
- Ensure Contractors personnel have sufficient experience and manpower to carry out the daily activities safely and as per
standard. - To review scaffolding calculation provided by contractor and ensure scaffold erection in compliance with calculations.
- To inspect and assess the condition of the scaffolding material reject defective and substandard material.
- To ensure that Contractor maintain a record of condition of all scaffolding material and assemblies and they are maintained it
correctly. - Has capability to calculate the counterweight for outboard of heavy duty suspended scaffolding.
- Interface with other supervision personnel in the Projects team
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Have an Associates or BS/HND/BTS degree in a technical field or equivalent.
- CISRS Advanced Scaffolding Inspector Certificate.
- Have strong working knowledge of construction contractor inspection procedures and scaffolding erection sequences for Topsides & jackets covering the three main categories (suspended/support/aerial)
- Professional Experience (number of years): 12.
- Experience within project: (number of years): 10.
- Good knowledge of the international standard BS EN 12 8111:2003 and BS1139 and OSHA 3150 and AS 4576
- Ability to work in a team oriented collaborative environment is essential.
- Ability to influence and encourage personnel & CTR workers/supervisors.
- Good supervisions and good communication skills.
- Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
- Ability in using computer programs for word processing spreadsheets and email communications.
- Mandatory language is English & Mandarin
