Job Description
One of our esteemed clients in the Shipbuilding industry is currently seeking an Information Technology Manager with 6 years of experience to be based in Dammam Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Job Overview
Supervise IT governance & planning infrastructure and operations in the company in alignment with best practices to ensure effective and efficient IT operations.
Strategic Responsibilities
- Align division goals processes and resource allocation with the organizational strategy while maintaining awareness of commercial and business objectives.
- Ensure the accomplishment of organizational unit objectives by managing staff; planning and evaluating organizational unit activities.
- Define objectives identifies and evaluates trends and options chooses a course of action and evaluates outcomes.
- Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements preparing an annual budget scheduling expenditures analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
- Maintain quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems and recommending system improvements.
- Support with strategic problems resolution and subjective decision making.
Managerial Responsibilities
- Supervise the entire work done by the team members and making sure it is completed on time without any delay.
- Lead the team to complete tasks and meet goals through delegation of responsibilities and supervising business operations.
- Set the vision and motivation of the team in order to achieve the sought objectives efficiently.
- Set appropriate and achievable deadlines.
- Track and report critical organizational unit performance results and escalate and negotiate business related issues to senior management.
- Accomplish staff results by communicating job expectations planning monitoring and appraising job results.
Functional Responsibilities
- Develop IT strategy and ensure its alignment with strategic and business objectives.
- Supervise IT governance and risk management frameworks to ensure safety security and business continuity in the company.
- Recommend optimal IT solutions and execute projects to meet the organizations IT needs including managing and controlling solutions and overseeing IT vendor relations.
- Oversee the design implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure including networks servers and systems.
- Ensure data security disaster recovery and business continuity plans are in place and regularly tested.
- Optimize infrastructure to support shipbuilding operations efficiently and costeffectively.
- Assure that all relevant to technology and IT requests and queries from the company stakeholders are catered for effectively.
- Develop and manage the IT budget ensuring costeffective technology investments.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer science IT Digitalization or any other similar field.
- 6 plus years of experience in related field.
- Masters Degree in Computer science IT Digitalization or any other similar field is preferred.
Additional Requirement
- Commitment to a 12month Interim Information Technology (IT) Manager role.
