What will you do
You will be operating independently reporting to Head of QA supporting multiple teams with your quality engineering craftsmanship. You will asses and teach others how to assess risk
and test software using a mix of tools and processes. You will also be executing what you preach where there is need. We expect you to be proactive and datadriven to establish
proper techniques and standards early on in order to strike the right balance between quality and efficiency.
More specific duties include:
- Oversee Quality Engineering approaches across multiple teams analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of them and guide the improvements to enable delivery of products with higher quality
- In depth technical investigation of issues using debugging logging and monitoring tools
- Introduction of tooling that enables effective risk assessment of product releases
- Setting up Quality measurements
- Active participation in architecture and system design rounds to advise technical leadership on how to achieve high quality output
- Close collaboration with Engineering Managers Developers Product and Design experts in order to refine features through test specification
- Constantly monitor testability of developed products and advise on how to improve it
- Mentor QA Engineers as well as organise workshops and classes that help improve
- Quality Engineering standards across company
What you ideally have
- 5 years of experience in the field of Quality Engineering
- Strong knowledge in using test coverage monitoring and logging tooling as well as CI/CD platforms
- Experience in planning and running large initiatives/projects including stakeholder management
- Experience in mentoring QA Engineer
- Strong knowledge and experience in setting up and using modern test methodologies
- Ability to confidently collaborate with other roles across company without supervision
- A knack for making datadriven decisions both when it comes to setting up measurements and using them
- Natural desire and ability to navigate interpersonal challenges with nonviolent communication and assure positive outcomes for people and business
