Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and sales-focused Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our dynamic team. The TAM will play a critical role in supporting our sales efforts and ensuring the success of our customers' technical journey throughout the sales lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, excellent communication skills, and a proven technical sales and technical account management track record.
Responsibilities:
- Sales Support & Enablement: Act as the sales team's primary technical point of contact, providing technical expertise and support throughout the sales process.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of technical presentations and demonstrations.
- Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate technical solutions.
- Engage with potential customers to understand their business needs and technical requirements.
- Customer Onboarding & Adoption: Ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new customers and assist in the adoption of cloud infrastructure solutions.
- Provide guidance and support in the implementation and configuration of cloud services.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance customer understanding and proficiency.
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Regularly meet with customers to ensure their satisfaction and address any technical issues or concerns.
- Work closely with the sales team to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in cloud infrastructure.
- Provide thought leadership and expert advice to customers and the sales team.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and technical documentation.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and engineering.
- Ensure seamless communication between the customer and internal teams.
- Provide feedback from customers to the product and engineering teams to help shape future product developments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a technical account management or pre-sales engineering role, with a focus on cloud infrastructure.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving customer success.
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of cloud services and architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have:
- Relevant certifications in cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect).
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
