Team Projects
Within the Projects team, projects of various natures are prepared and supervised during their implementation. This relates to public space, but also to larger development and transition tasks. In addition to spatial planning, these tasks also involve other policy areas, such as economics, safety, social and community aspects. In the preparation of projects, there is already intensive collaboration with our own strategic policy departments and professional disciplines, and with citizens and companies. Participation is therefore an important part of the work package. The team now consists of approximately 50 employees and is made up of project, program and area managers, project leaders and project assistants.

What are you going to do?
As a project leader you work on spatial or social projects in the city from multidisciplinary project teams (including civil, green, district management, social, enforcement, services). As a project leader, you provide functional leadership to this team and you are responsible for the quality of the underlying sub-projects that are carried out. Using the GROTICK method, you professionally conduct project management and aim to achieve schedules within the financial and legal frameworks and mandates. You ensure the correct administrative decision-making in a timely manner when this is necessary within the implementation of your project. You maintain proactive contact with residents, interest groups, social agencies and market parties, depending on your scope and/or phase in the project. As a project leader, you are responsible from start to finish for the proper and thorough implementation of the project, both externally and internally. You are accountable to the Projects team manager for the quality of the general task execution and to your official client for the progress and results.

To be able to tackle the challenges in the city in 2024, we are looking for several project leaders who are available for a minimum of 16 hours and a maximum of 36 hours. Flexible layout and working hours are possible and we are also used to working hybridly.
In the context of the controlled implementation of the projects, we see that environmental management is an increasingly important part of the projects. Project leaders with experience in the field of environmental management are therefore desirable. In addition, it is important to have political sensitivity in relation to the implementation of the projects.

Who are you?

  • You understand the game of negotiation and deal with it tactically;

  • You have a feeling for administrative and political relationships.

It is an advantage if you :
  • have demonstrable experience with environmental management;
  • have completed training in project management.
  • Knowledge about drawing up an area or land development plan and conducting negotiation discussions with (commercial) parties
