Job Description
As a Mainframe MQ&IIB systems programmer you will be part of a dynamic and diverse team that engineers the large-scale, complex, and resilient technology solutions that drives our global business, bank transactions complete in the blink of an eye. Understand and comply to Project Lifecycle Methodology in all planning steps. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development, and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.
Roles and Responsibilities
In-depth experience with IBM MQ/IIB functionality, design, integration, and implementation.
Performing MQ and IIB systems programming in a zSeries operating system environment involving maintenance.
Provide MQ administration support to multiple applications.
With analysis, plan, MQ upgrades to new version and apply maintenance. Experience with installation, maintaining, and implementation of z/OS and ISV software .
Understanding Queue Manager, queues, channels and
In-depth experience with IBM MQ/IIB functionality, design, integration, and implementation.
Performing MQ and IIB systems programming in a zSeries operating system environment involving maintenance.
Provide MQ administration support to multiple applications.
With analysis, plan, MQ upgrades to new version and apply maintenance. Experience with installation, maintaining, and implementation of z/OS and ISV software .
Understanding Queue Manager, queues, channels and other MQ objects.
Add queue managers to clusters, queue sharing group for load balancing and failover.
Provide technical expertise throughout the software lifecycle including design, implementation, and delivery.
Understanding cloud, virtualization, APIs, and modern software languages.
Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages: Python, Java, C, C++, Go, JCL, REXX, PERL, PHP, JYTHON, zOSMF Workflows, J2EE, MVC, JDBC, Servlets.
Understanding or have experience with agile and lean philosophies.
Advanced understanding of LOB technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, best practices and company policies
Advanced knowledge in the following key areas:
Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations)
Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management)
Design (compliance, security)
Network Engineering (planning, provision)
Proficient in more than one specific infrastructure technology
Advanced understanding of best practices and company policies
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms
Must be able to assemble technology solutions and effectively define and implement a working architecture
Technical certifications as required
