Audiovisual Programmer (REMOTE)
A leading Audiovisual Integrator seeks an Audiovisual Programmer to configure and program AV systems to meet client needs. Youll interpret design specs finetune equipment (e.g. projectors displays audio systems) and troubleshoot technical issues. Collaboration with project teams and customers is key. Attention to detail is required for documenting configurations and resolving commissioning challenges efficiently
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Loading firmware code DSP files and other hardware configurations.
- Documenting all required hardware information and settings.
- Fully setting up AV systems testing troubleshooting updating and retesting systems until they operate at peak performance meeting stated customer requirements.
- Troubleshooting issues and working with the proper vendor and/or internal resources to determine root causes.
- Processing vendorrelated RMAs.
- Backing up final code versions and system documentation.
- Communicating project status and lessons learned to internal stakeholders.
- Acting on supervisor instructions.
- Providing customer enduser training.
- Creating "How To" guides.
Experience and Skills:
- At least 4 years of experience working in the AV/VTC industry in an applicable role.
- Ability to work think determine and establish the priority of urgency quickly and accurately with little oversight to meet deadlines in an organized manner.
- Working knowledge of a wide range of audio video and networking equipment and software including but not limited to Biamp Crestron Extron AMX QSC and Cisco.
- Knowledge of industry best practices.
- Ability to read and work from AV and general construction drawings.
- Reliability in showing up meeting project schedules and flexibly adjusting based on changing priorities.
- Understanding of lowvoltage electrical installation practices and concepts.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience in programming audiovisual systems and equipment (Biamp Crestron Extron AMX QSC and Cisco).
- Effective problemsolving skills and the ability to manage complex projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Preferred technical certifications include AVIXA CTS CTSD OSHA 10 and Forklift Operation.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours including occasional weekends.
- A valid driver s license and a good driving record.
Requirements: University graduate or equivalent experience with further studies in AV installation, data or voice communications, or drafting. Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical and/or communications environment. Understanding of project management practices and customer service obligations. Knowledge of electrical, electronic, communications, and computer products and equipment. Proficiency in oral and written English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Familiarity with building construction and blueprint reading. Experience with the AV Commercial Integrator Navigate system, specifically for change orders and delay notices feedback to the Project Manager. CTS-I Certification Preferred
