Job Description:

As a customer marketing and category manager you are a key driver of category growth. You will act as the liaison between BE-KIND, the sales team, and our leading retailers in KSA. This is a customer-facing role, and you will be expected to spend time with our key customers within the scope of your responsibilities.

Within your customer marketing responsibilities you will be the "Voice of the Customer" internally while serving as "Voice of the Brands" to our customers and external partners. You will plan and execute a strong calendar of customer activations that bring the national brand plans to life, and continue building the BE-KIND brand in the region.

Within your category responsibilities you will be accountable for building category partnerships with our leading retailers, deploying the Healthy Treats & Snacking Category Vision to help grow our customers healthy snacking categories, using BE-KIND as a lever for category growth. You will use market, shopper and customer insights to assess and identify category growth opportunities and develop and execute the relevant category solutions to fuel category growth, drive customer engagement and optimizing sales revenue and profitability at category and portfolio level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and execute category and customer growth plans in line with our growth strategy.
  • Bring to life the BE-KIND national brand plans with our strategic customers through customer-specific execution plans including activation plans and mechanics.
  • Engage with the key customers as part of quarterly business reviews, focusing on activation plans and category reviews.
  • Create and lead robust customer calendars while partnering with the sales team to bring to life both brand plans and customer opportunities.
  • Own the BE-KIND promo portfolio both in terms of portfolio strategy and execution ensuring we remain competitive and profitable in our offering to consumers and maximizing on category opportunities.
  • You will have ownership of the CP budget ensuring we deliver our plans within the budget framework.
  • Responsible for developing display equipment concepts and produce with through the right 3rd party.
  • Play an active role internally to keep BE-KIND top of mind with the sales team, and championing opportunities with the sales team in key forums (quarterly sales deployments etc ).
  • Assist in planning, developing and presenting of sales & brand strategies as part of the connect-to-grow process, customer roadshows, and other key forums.
  • Use retail audit data to run category analysis to provide insights on market category dynamics, competition, and uncovering potential opportunities (innovation, distribution, PQA) in key forums (sales meetings, team huddles and others).
  • Leverage customers EPOS data to drive customer-specific insights and action plans.
  • Drive category leadership with our key customers including rollout of our category management projects (Goodness Lane), negotiating and influencing the ideal location for our category within the stores, category rationalization, with the support of local and regional resources, and solidify BE-KIND as the trusted category expert with our customers.
  • Work with third party agencies to timely design and implement category excitement projects based on our ambitions.
  • Formulate appropriate planograms and assortment/distributions category and portfolio recommendations across main aisle, transaction zone and recommend relevant secondary displays tactics activation for sustainable mutual category growth.
