Must be Certified by the ARRT in Radiography Must have BLS - Would like to also be skilled in Nuclear Medicine, but not required.Essential Duties: Positions patients for exams to obtain optimal image quality.Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain patient cooperation.Positions equipment and sets technical factors to obtain optimal studies.Practices radiation protection and follows ALARA principles.Performs portable radiographic exams as requested.Under the direction of Radiologist or attending physician prepares and/or administers oral and IV contrast material.Provides assistance to the Radiologist .Utilizes teleradiology equipment as needed.Utilizes hospital information system and radiology information system as required for charges and proper patient status.Performs Imaging studies to produce images of high quality and shows ability to operate imaging equipment independently. Also shows capability of operating Imaging workstationappropriately.PLEASE ONLY SUBMIT CANDIDATES THAT MEET ALL REQUIREMENTSWe have Phillips Big Bore 16 slice and Phillips Ingenuity 128 slice.
