Do you enjoy leading individuals who are excited and passionate about creating educational materials for K-12 and/or adult learners? Do you have what it takes to guide a team of writers, editors, and subject matter experts to complete deliverables on time? If so, then come join our team of managing editors in the content development department at Science L.E.A.F!

Science L.E.A.F is looking to add to our growing content community a group of highly qualified managing editors. As a managing editor, you will work closely with the Project Manager to provide content support to our writers and editors. You will report directly to the content manager and content director at Science L.E.A.F.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:
  • leadership experience in managing project teams or groups of people
  • very attentive to detail
  • the desire to be receptive to feedback and be challenged to grow within the role
  • strong experience with editing educational documents ranging from teacher guides to assessment items
  • excellent communication skills in an asynchronous environment
  • the confidence and expertise to answer content related questions posed by Science L.E.A.F project team members and project managers
  • strong collaborative mindset in working with the project manager to ensure deliverables are successfully completed on time and at a very high quality.
  • strong coordination skills in ensuring content support is provided for writers, editors, and the content revision team assigned to a project
