SUMMARY
This position will prepare quotes and process customer orders; review customer order terms and conditions; review contractual documents for potential risk factors; perform to the requirements of the customer order prior to order entry to ensure that the requirements are acceptable and adequately defined; and resolve any conflicts that exist between the proposal and customer order.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enter orders and process paperwork in the company business computing system, including order acknowledgement, picking/packing slips, shipping documents, and invoicing. Ensure that all contractual documents are organized and filed.
- Coordinate with sales, planning/production, engineering, quality, shipping and other disciplines to facilitate timely delivery. Submit deliverable data as required by customer order.
- Correspond as necessary with customer as to order status, problem resolution, engineering concerns or other contractual issues.
- Provide assistance and back-up to other company customer order quoting/entry/processing personnel as required. Assist and back-up Sales as requested.
- Develop, prepare and present sales, production and other reports.
- Regularly review and analyze report data, business computing system operation, procedures, etc. and suggest improvements for optimal effect regarding customer satisfaction and benefit to the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
- 2+ years customer service experience in a make to order manufacturing environment.
- Proficient using ERP/MRP systems.
- Excel spreadsheet & Power Point experience - Intermediate level computer skills.
- Experience handling government contracts and ITAR regulations is a plus.
