1. Lead, schedule and oversee the activities with other team members to resolve end user hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
2. Primary job duties and responsibilities including testing, deployment, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation of a statewide network, utilizing industry best practices for security, disaster recovery and business continuity, change control, and client support.
3. Assistance in the creation of robust network designs, acting as the escalation point of contact and lead engineer for implementations and provide ongoing support and maintenance.
4. Oversight of the configuration, maintenance, and documentation of routers, switches, wireless controllers, load balancers, WAN optimizers, and management and security appliances.
5. Designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and documenting computer networks and infrastructure
6. Developing and analyzing network designs and protocols including prototyping and assessment.
7. Performing planning, engineering, forecasting and implementation, and identification of resource requirements for network systems
8. Leading or assisting in major network projects to support capacity growth, upgrades and new products/features, and integration
9. Evaluating current network systems and recommending changes in maintenance and systems standards, and training support personnel on the conversion, implementation, and troubleshooting
10. Applying in-depth up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, industry trends and similar for LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Center, Cloud networking interconnection
11. Driving improvements in network process, efficiency, and standardization. Ensuring security compliance, change control processes and adherence to standards
12. Providing upper tier of diagnosis, isolation, and resolution of network problems. Identifying and documenting root cause. Proactively identifying potential issues in the production environment and recommending potential solutions
13. Developing comprehensive graphical and text-based documentation and effectively managing the implementation process from design to acceptance
14. Generating weekly status reports including project progress, key milestones, and tasks accomplished, etc.
15. Hosting weekly status meetings/calls with team or on as needed basis.
16. Lifting personal computers, printers, scanners, and other equipment associated with a standard computer workstation.
17. Reporting as follows:
    1. Weekly report communicating project progress and status,
    2. Weekly time reporting on JIS provided forms, and
    3. Any additional reports as assigned by the supervising manager.

Required Skills:

resource should meet the following minimum qualifications:

1. Associate degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field, as determined by the AOC.
2. Eight (8) years of CONUS technical experience in IT networking.
3. Possess active (i.e., not expired) certification as follows:

1. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise or Security Certification.

Min. Years:

Preferred Skills:

1. Ten (10) years of CONUS technical experience in IT networking.
2. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) or a related field, as determined by the AOC
3. Certifications issued within the last four (4) years as follows:

1. Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) in Enterprise Infrastructure or Security Certification.
2. Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security (PCNSE) Certification.
3. Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE) Certification from Palo Alto Networks.
