Network Operations Engineer (Direct Hire Onsite)
We are looking for a Network Operations Engineer to join our client’s Networking team. You will help plan and implement network strategies troubleshoot issues and optimize network performance. This role involves working closely with other team members to ensure the stability and security of their network services.

1. Network Protocols: Strong understanding of TCP/IP BGP OSPF MPLS and IP subnetting and routing.
2. Network Hardware: Experience with routers switches firewalls and network monitoring tools.
3. ProblemSolving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Design configure and deploy network solutions for highspeed internet services.
Monitor and troubleshoot network performance issues to ensure optimal uptime.
Implement and maintain network security measures including firewalls and VPNs.
Work on network improvement and optimization projects with the team.
Maintain documentation of network configurations changes and procedures.
Perform network performance testing and capacity planning.
Stay updated on the latest networking technologies and trends.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams.
Participate in oncall rotation for afterhours network support.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP BGP OSPF MPLS).
Background in IP subnetting and routing.
Experience with network hardware (routers switches firewalls) and software.
Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Knowledge of network security best practices.
Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Experience:
Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
Experience with Passive Optical Networking (PON) and optical transport.
Experience with packet capture tools such as Wireshark.
Experience with Cisco IOSXR.
Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash).
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware KVM).
Knowledge of softwaredefined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).
Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA CCNP JNCIA JNCIS) are a plus.
