Job Description

We are actively seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in mobile equipment electrical systems. The chosen candidate will predominantly engage in short-term projects, with a focus on designing, understanding, and troubleshooting electrical schematics and wire harnesses for mobile equipment. This role presents a stimulating array of challenges and the opportunity to work on various applications.

Qualifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering concepts.
  • At least 2 years' experience in mobile equipment electrical design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and electrical diagnostics.
  • Ability to create and understand electrical schematics and wire harnesses.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting CAN system issues.
  • Familiarity with standards such as UL, ANSI, NEMA, and NEC is advantageous.
  • Mechanical aptitude is an added benefit.
  • Experience with automotive electrical systems, especially mobile equipment.
  • Knowledge of third-party telematics, lighting design, and collision avoidance systems.

Essential Duties:
  • Design custom engineering solutions aligned with client specifications.
  • Produce Bills of Material and technical drawings.
  • Oversee Engineering Change Notices for design consistency.
  • Design electrical components, including wiring harnesses, schematics, and assembly guides.
  • Collaborate with external suppliers and electrical designers.
  • Ensure seamless integration of wire harnesses with mobile equipment.
  • Work on third-party telematics and lighting solutions.
  • Deliver quality outcomes in swift project cycles.
  • Assist in formulating specialized quotes.
  • Offer technical assistance to dealers, in-house sales, and clients.

Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
