Complete Care at Home is hiring a new Driver for our caregiving team. As a driver, you would be responsible for driving yourself to our office in Santa Barbara, picking up a company vehicle and taking our elderly clients and their caregivers to appointments/events on time.
Drivers will need to safely operate both SUV-type cars and wheelchair vans to transport clients around the Santa Barbara area and the Santa Ynez Valley. Clients will have different levels of ability, so you will need to work with walkers, wheelchairs and other disabilities. Depending on client needs, you may also need to assist them with dressing, grooming, eating and more in the event a caregiver is not there to immediately assist.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, YOU NEED TO:
- Be a RELIABLE and FRIENDLY person
- Be a very good driver with a squeaky clean driving record and up-to-date drivers license
- Be socially aware and able to adapt to different personalities and situations
- Be PROFESSIONAL and PUNCTUAL in everything you do
- Be TEACHABLE and willing to learn how to use senior-care devices and work with different health conditions
- Be FLEXIBLE and able to work outside your normal role in the event a client needs extra help
- Put others before yourself while on shift
- Understand and execute safe driving practices

- A background check for the Home Care Aide Registration of California
- A Tuberculosis test
- PAID orientation and training sessions with our staff to ensure you have the skills needed to succeed with our special clients
