Job Description

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Martin research This position will be funded by the European Research Council ERC project

ICIQ is committed to performing excellent research at the frontier of knowledge in the broad area of chemistry (Catalysis, Artificial Photosynthesis, Activation of Small Molecules, Photovoltaics, Functional Molecular Assemblies and Chemical Biology, from either theoretical or experimental perspectives). Description of the project ICIQ is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Ruben The candidate will focus his/her research on the development of metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions for enabling bond-forming reactions at remote sp3 sites within an alkyl side

  • The candidates must have a PhD in chemistry
  • We are looking for a candidate with a solid and proven track record in Organometallic chemistry, particularly in cross-coupling reactions, and in photochemical settings who has an interest in the development of metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions for forging sp3
  • The candidates must submit the following documents: (a) a CV (specifying any relevant experience, along with a detailed description of previous accomplishments); (b) a cover letter highlighting the interest in the position, the reasons for applying to our group, his/her particular strengths & weaknesses, future career plans, hobbies, self-motivation and ability to work on a team; (c) a short description of previous research: (d) names and contact addresses of at least two referees that might be willing to write down a recommendation
