Role overview

We are looking for a Data Protection Analyst to join our team in Reporting to our Data Privacy Manager (DPM), you will help manage and monitor the group's compliance with UK-focused data protection You will work with the Legal and Information Security teams to monitor and improve policies and standards applicable to the business, in compliance with the

As a Data Protection Analyst at Next 15, you will:

  • Manage a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with the GDPR, including data collection and mapping, supplier management reviews

  • Work with key internal stakeholders in the review of projects and related data to ensure compliance with local data privacy laws, complete and advise on DPIAs

  • Regular reporting into and participation as a member of the Information Governance Board

  • Conduct ongoing reviews of the privacy governance framework

  • Review policies and procedures that meet the requirements under the GDPR and any local requirements in international BUs

  • Proactive engagement with key internal and external stakeholders

  • Conduct data privacy audits, focused on an IAO certification regime

  • Collaborate with the Information Security team to raise employee awareness of security issues

  • Maintain registers of all information assets; DPO decisions; deletions and exports; data breaches and near misses; risks and remedial action plans; DSARs; and DPIAs

  • Collaborate with the Information Security team on an incident management plan to ensure timely remediation of incidents including impact assessments, security breach response, complaints, claims or notifications

  • Lead the process to respond to DSARs on a timely and complete basis, coordinating data collection, review, review, redaction and delivery

  • Collaborate with the Information Security team to ensure that IT systems and procedures comply with data privacy and protection law and with ISO27001 standards where applicable

  • Provide appropriate awareness to a data protection culture throughout the organisation ensuring employees are conscious of the importance and impact of data protection

  • Provide input to the development of controls to reduce risk related to data protection

  • Produce metrics to report on the state of the Data Privacy programme across the group

You will bring:

  • CIPP/E, CIPT, ISEB or other data protection accreditation

  • Knowledge of data protection regulation, and a general understanding of evolving legislation

  • 3 years' experience within a compliance, legal, audit and/or risk function, with recent experience in privacy compliance

  • Excellent working knowledge of IT and data management systems required, including evidence of collaborative working with Cyber Security teams

  • Change and project management skills
