Consultant can work remotely.
Technical Writer will be responsible for writing/revising user and product documentation, updating Medicaid policies/procedures, and preparing metrics for Information Technology Services (ITS). This position will function as a member of the ITS team.
Responsibilities:
Work with ITS team to write user and/or product documentation
Conduct documentation review with business stakeholders and ITS team
Lead effort to update or create ITS policies/procedures
Develop PowerPoint slides, graphs/charts, and Visio/workflow documents as assigned
Perform other Technical Writer duties as assigned
Responsibilities:
Create and update all user and product documentation assigned by ITS
Participate in assigned ITS projects from requirements gathering through implementation
Understand the projects from business perspectives and acquire thorough application/system hands-on knowledge, especially from system end users' perspectives
Conduct documentation review with business stakeholders and ITS team to ensure the documents are user friendly and easy to navigate
Assist with coordinating, facilitating and/or developing agenda and minutes for ITS meetings as required
REQUIRED Skill Sets:
7+ years relevant experience in Technical Writing
2+ years Information Technology experience
Experience working on large scale projects with multiple stakeholders in both business and technical projects
4+ years' experience using Visio, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Ability to establish priorities & follow through on projects, paying close attention to detail with minimal supervision.
Effective communication, presentation, & organizational skills.
Effective team player in a fast paced and quick delivery environment.
Required Education: BS/BA degree or combination of education & experience.
