Prophet 21 Technical Consultant

Company Overview: We specialize in coating endmills and other cutting tools. Our manufacturing process is straightforward: customers send us uncoated tools which we wash coat hone etch and package. We are seeking a skilled Prophet 21 Developer to help us optimize and streamline our processes within the P21 system.

Type: Contract (3 Months)

Reports To: ERP Manager

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Prophet 21 (P21) Developer to support the implementation and optimization of our manufacturing process within the P21 system. This role requires an individual who can efficiently handle production orders secondary processing and light manufacturing within the framework of P21. The ideal candidate will work closely with our team to ensure seamless integration and functionality addressing the specific needs of our workflow and minimizing the transactional burden on our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and understand our current manufacturing process: washing coating honing etching and packaging of cutting tools.
• Design develop and implement solutions within the Prophet 21 system to streamline WIP (Work In Progress) movements and other related transactions.
• Configure P21 to handle production orders secondary processing and light manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the P21 implementation meets business needs.
• Provide training and documentation to endusers to facilitate smooth adoption of new processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to P21 configuration and functionality.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the P21 system.
• Optimize the use of P21 to reduce the transactional workload on our team while maintaining efficient and effective operations.
• Provide regular updates and reports to the IT Manager and Operations Manager on project progress and milestones.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Prophet 21 (P21) ERP system specifically in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong understanding of production orders secondary processing and light manufacturing workflows within P21.
• Strong understanding of DynaChange Rules and customizations
• Ability to analyze complex processes and design effective solutions within the ERP system.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
• Experience in training and supporting endusers on ERP systems

Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience in the cutting tools or coatings industry.
• Familiarity with WIP movements and related transactions in a manufacturing context.
• Knowledge of best practices for ERP optimization.
