Job Description

OVERVIEW

The Plant Accounting Manager is responsible for the oversite and management of all Accounting functions and reporting at the plant level, including Month End Close and preparation of financial statements, forecasting and budgeting.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including a team of approximately 4 staff accountants
  • Verify compliance with all federal, state, sales, and franchise taxes
  • Develop tools to analyze budget and COGS variances
  • Oversee fixed assets and inventory counts
  • Organize and prepare team for annual audits
  • Responsible for the management of cash flow from business operations
  • Manage monthly and year end financial closing procedures

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems
  • Lean manufacturing experience a plus
  • Strong financial and business sense
  • Detail oriented, highly motivated, and diligent
REQUIREMENTS
  • 4-year college degree (Bachelors) in Accounting, Business Management or equivalent
  • 3+ years in manufacturing environment
