Job Description

Work with STAR Reserves Development team, STAR Environmental Support, and National IT on complex tasks and implement ideas as prototypes.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and implement high quality technology solutions that use cloud technology to address STAR business needs. Experienced as a lead developer. Experienced in designing and building cloud-native Java based applications. Strong Java programming skills. Strong analysis and design skills. The technology includes, Tomcat, RDS or noSQL DB, Java, Angular JS, JQuery, Web Services (Restful and SOAP), Spring boot, Spring framework, XML, JSON, PL-SQL, etc.

2. Use Data Migration service to migrate data from on-prem Oracle database to the target databases such as Oracle RDS, Aurora Postgres SQL and DynamoDB

3. Create Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform scripts

4. Work with developers during development cycles such as design, coding and develop automated tests. Review developer's codes and provide constructive feedback

5. Guide and coach developers to apply best practices during development

6. Assist with setting up CI/CD pipeline, releases management using Gitlab code repository, Gitlab CI

7. Strong mentoring and communication skills

8. AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional is preferred

9. GovCloud experience is a plus

10. Knowledge on how to set up Dynatrace service is a plus
