Description
- The person in this position will develop designs, detailed specifications, and documentation for buildings Local Area Networks.
- The candidate should be able to solution new network topologies within a single building, within campus and datacenter LAN environments.
- The candidate will document network designs and support the implementation of any LAN /WAN infrastructures.
- The candidate should be able to support Cisco Catalyst 6500,3850,3750,2960, Cisco Nexus 7K, 5K switches, HP Procurve switches.
- The candidate should be able to support Cisco WLC 5500, 4400, Cisco Access points 1130,2600,3500,1200, Cisco WCS and NCS prime.
- The candidate must have strong hands on experience with Cisco IOS, Cisco hardware, IP Routing and Switching. Additionally the candidate will have DNS, working understanding of Datacenter LAN /WAN environments.
- The candidate must have strong working knowledge and experience with: TCP/IP, Cisco IOS,Ethernet switching, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF some MPLS VPN technologies.
- The candidate must have hands on experience in Configuring of VLAN, VTP,802.1Q, STP, RSTP, MSTP,PVST+, Port fast ,Uplink fast , Backbone fast, BPDU guard, BPDU filter , Loop guard, UDLD, Ether Channel Pagp, LACP, Inter-VLAN routing, DTP, PPP, PPP multilink
- The candidate must have hands on experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco Wireless technologies
- The candidate must have experience in configuring and troubleshooting F5 Load balancer.
Engineer Primary Responsibilities and Duties :
- 8+ years of strong background in networking environments with knowledge of Cisco devices.
- Should be able to setup and configure various Cisco devices like switches, routers, Access points & controllers, NEXUS switching platform.
- Should have good hands on experience in routing concepts with routing protocols
- Knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals and Clear understanding of Network management concepts and SNMP.
- Configuring & Maintaining the complex switching environments
- Configuring & Maintaining the complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and applications
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking
- Provide remote Technical support on implementation of technology using various networking products & applications and resolve the related issues through troubleshooting.
- Should be able to Work with Cisco Wireless LAN controllers, Wireless APs, autonomous or LWAP mode, H-Reap.
Technical Skill Set:
- Good understanding of OSI Model, TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, FTP, TFTP).
- Experience on routing protocols - RIP V1/V2, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.
- Experience in VLANS, Tagging - IEEE 802.1q, 802.3ad, 802.1d,802.1w.
- Experience in IPSEC VPN/MPLS/NAT/GRE
- Basic knowledge of the tools like Wire-shark, HP NNM, SolarWinds.
- Should be able to work with ticketing tool like Remedy(Action Request System).
- Knowledge on Authentication Protocols like TACAS/RADIUS/802.1x
- Working knowledge on Cisco catalyst switches, F5 Load balancer , Cisco ASA, Cisco Nexus switches 7000/1000v series.
- Experience on troubleshooting tools like Sniffer, Ethereal, Wire shark.
- CCNP (Routing & Switching) ,CCNA (Wireless) certifications will be an added advantage.
- F5 Load balancer experience will be added advantage.
- Checkpoint firewall experience will be added advantage.
