Job Description
- Conduct a systematic analysis of the social, communication, cultural, economic and political issues in Jordan to enhance evidence-based information for developing and planning of the social behavior and practices component of the UNICEF WASH Programme.
- Lead the development of a harmonized strategy for awareness raising, community engagement, and behavior change towards WASH and climate related practices to ensure optimum impact, scale and sustainability of achievements/results. Such strategy should include actions both at refugee camps and host communities, covering actions by household and institutions for improved hygiene, water conservation, WASH services ownership and appropriate use, and strengthened relationship towards service providers.
- Identify and/or recommend specific areas for UNICEF’s support for improved WASH and climate related practices at community and institutional level; and support the development of related annual work plan outputs, activities and priorities.
