Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Backup & Recovery Solution Architectto join a major IT infrastructure programme for one of our Big 4 clients most important customers.
The successful candidate would integrate into the consultancys team and work directly with the end client, providing technical advisory and helping deliver the Backup & Recovery Solution across the global environment.
Type of job: Contract / freelance
Working hours: Full-time (40 hours / week)
Duration: ASAP - 31.07.2023 with high likelihood of extensions
This is a remote position.
Key activities:
- Defining parameters to match given backup and recovery scenarios to given branch office environments.
- Designing a blueprint architecture for branch office categories given by previously defined parameter.
- preparation of rollout of defined architecture incl. establishment of rollout governance and migration playbook.
- Overseeing rollout phase incl. technical documentation.
- Handover to Ops after hypercare phase, might include training.

Requirements
- All candidates must have unrestricted rights to work in the EU or UK
- Fluent in English
- At least 5 years experience working with backup and recovery storage systems
- Ability to support the client in delivering the key activities above
- Design, migration and implementation experience on enterprise backup solutions
- Experience with Rubrik and TSM
- Knowledge on the latest trends and technologies in the enterprise backup domain
- Ability to perform assessment/audit of current backup landscape of customer based on IBM Spectrum Protect technologies and prepare transformation road map document
- Ability to perform performance assessment of current backup & capacity landscape based on TSM/IBM Spectrum Protect
- Ability to size the storage solution based on the performance assessment
- Good understanding of Disaster recovery, RPO and RTO
- Good communication and documentation skills (HLD & LLD)
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong team player with excellent communication skills
