Job Details:

Title: Event Coordinator

Client: Pure Storage

Location: Mountain View CA 94041

Duration: 12 months

  • This role is based in Mountain View, CA.
    Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, this Event Coordinator at Pure Storage is responsible for providing administrative and support services in order to ensure effective and efficient operations in the Events Team.


The Event Coordinator will demonstrate competence in the following areas:

Relationships: Maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally.

Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Organization: Excellent time management skills; attention to detail; the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency; ability to develop a work schedule, set goals, create / implement actions plans and monitor progress towards goals; and ability to make clear, timely decisions.

Needs Assessment: Anticipate, understand, and respond to the needs of members.

Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to enhance organizational effectiveness; ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary.

Job Description:

Administrative Duties

Create Purchase Orders for the team

Track invoices for payment and budget reconciliation

Assist in contract reviews between the team and Procurement

Provide administrative support to Senior Events Team Managers

General Event Coordination

Registration

Maintain hotel rooming lists for events

Sourcing venues for ancillary events

Assist in submitting internal work order tickets for projects within event

Shipping and Receiving

Manage all shipping requests from Mountain View office

Inventory and pack shipments

Work with shipping and receiving department to complete the correct FedEx and commercial invoice documents

Ensure timely delivery to events

Receive and catalog items returning from events

Travel - may be required for week of June 10-17, 2023

Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

2-5 years marketing experience, including experience in event marketing in a high-growth tech environment

Google Suite/Workspace and Zoom experience

Experience with Cvent (or something similar) required basic knowledge acceptable, team can train up

Time management

Problem Solving

Proactive with the ability to work on own

Ability to prioritize

Excellent written skills

Excellent project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally

Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment

Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently

Creative and resourceful with a strong sense of initiative
