Job Description
Role : Oracle DBA with Performance Engineer
Location : Austin, TX(hybrid model)
No H1B, CPT
Job Description
We need a Core oracle DBA who has in depth Oracle database knowledge around tuning. We talked about the same during our last in-person meeting.
The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of:
- Oracle database architecture
- Oracle wait events
- How to read and analyze AWR/ASH reports
- How to identify Storage level latency, IO waits etc
- Troubleshooting high CPU issues, top processes and identify the reasons for it
- Basic of RDBMS, ACID properties, CAP theorem and fundamental differences
For all of the above an experienced Oracle DBA with 10+ years experience of should be able to know above.
These areas are going to be a big plus if the candidate has knowledge on:
- AWS services
- AWS Cloudwatch dashboards, metrics and logs will be a big plus
- Splunk - dashboarding and querying will be another big plus
- Python programming
