Description:
Reporting to the Regional Purchasing Manager and working within the Aero-derivative Business Unit as one of our successful Buyers, your role is to deliver key elements of the purchasing process, communicating with key internal customers and coordinating joint activities with external suppliers.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering is preferred
5-8 years of experience sourcing
Excellent Commercial, Contractual, and Project Management acumen, preferably within a manufacturing / engineering setting
Knowledge of working with a global supplier base
Supply Chain Management Capability & Capacity Assessment
Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Power point)
Advanced Excel experience
Advanced SAP experience in Material Management Module (Purchasing/MRP/Material Master)
Your responsibilities
Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers to ensure customer care and early involvement
Lead sourcing activities and negotiations for medium value critical Purchasing activity to optimize cost opportunities and contract coverage and make sourcing recommendations at BU level
Support internal Procurement transformational program
Co-ordinate and interface with global Supply Chain Management counterparts, Global stakeholders and other Procurement organization's
Report on project plans, activities, and results to management
Foster usage of eProcurement tools with the vision to grow standard catalogue coverage for major equipment
Manage a Buyer work que and ensure parts are delivered on time to final global warehouse or assembly plant
