JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- Identify forward looking solutions and lead an Agile team to deliver iterative automation solutions.
- Create, research and develop new automation solutions and product offerings for infrastructure services.
- Perform analysis and value stream mapping of existing processes for the development of improved automation.
- Work with a group of infrastructure automation engineers to develop automation for infrastructure services.
- Work with global teams and departments within the organization, to drive automation solutions, for scale and efficiency.
- Assist in devising a roadmap for the transformation of existing enterprise monitoring landscape to achieve next level of maturity
- Be hands-on with the codebase. Review work done in the team and provide constructive feedback.
- Provide best practices and design framework for automation
- Delivery of high-quality solutions across multiple platforms/technical domains
- Develops and maintains system, process, training, and documentation for the platform, operations, and monitoring components of the solution.
- Works cross-functionally to analyze and resolve systems problems. Provides functional backup for the operation of system tools/utilities platforms outside the incumbent's primary system responsibilities as required.
- Work in an Agile based model with aggressive delivery timelines
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in providing automation and integration to infrastructure services that are complex in nature.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading a global team, to deliver projects and drive operations.
- Working knowledge of multiple infrastructure technologies Hardware, Configuration Tools (Puppet, Ansible, salt, HPOO, Jenkins...), Operating Systems, network, storage, firewall, security.
- Expert in modern programming in at least one or more modern languages (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell)
- Expertise in dashboarding and visualizations using tools like Kibana, Grafana, etc.
- Familiarity with engineering concepts is a must system integration, technical architecture, business intelligence, infrastructure, technology research, new technology development, etc
- Experience implementing and/or consulting on DevOps principles.
- Hands-on experience with modern software engineering processes.
- Hands-on experience with continuous delivery pipelines, testing strategies, and quality validation.
- Deep understanding of container technologies
- Out-of-the-box thinker driven to lower costs using conventional/non-conventional solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to apply them towards automation.
- Should understand current industry trends and their advantages with ability to right fit into an existing environment.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, engaging peers and other departments to accomplish assigned goals.
- Must be able to learn new technologies quickly.
