Job Description
Siemens EDA FPGA-based hardware assisted
verification products enable our customers to validate their silicon products
and run software workloads before their semiconductors are manufactured. You
will work to support the R&D and QA teams developing these
hardware-assisted verification products. You will install, reconfigure,
maintain, upgrade and support in-house development and test FPGA prototyping
systems in the Wilsonville lab and data centers. The systems are used 24/7 by
worldwide R&D and QA. There will be on-the-job training, You will have
excellent ongoing growth opportunities in software and hardware development.
Responsibilities:
Deployment and reconfiguration of FPGA prototyping systems
Cabling and IO interface setup such as PCIe, USB,
ethernet, JTAG, UARTs, NV storage
Install and maintenance of associated lab computers
Create and maintain system dashboards
System test methodologies
Support system users
Debug and resolve issues
Create test jigs
Experience and education:
Degree in a computer or electronic related field such
as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or
Information Technology
Associate degree with 1-2 years of experience in
related lab technician role
New college graduate with bachelors degree
Required Skills
Experience working with Linux systems
Comfortable working with hardware components, and
installation of peripheral devices
Mechanically savvy
Scripting and webpage maintenance
Basic programing skills
Bonus experience areas
Experience with FPGAs
Working with JTAG and/or i2c probes
Soldering
PCB design basics
