Scientist II

Responsibilities:

• Excellent employment opportunity for a Scientist II in the Ridgefield, CT area.
• The Immunology & Respiratory Diseases department is seeking a Scientist to join our Research team supporting biomarker discovery through the application of immunoassays, cell culture and flow cytometry.
• Perform laboratory duties initially under supervision.
• Participate/assist in the execution of non-routine experiments; initiate and complete
• Operate and be responsible for laboratory equipment
• Communicate own work orally and in writing and provide input for scientific reports
• Reports and treats data with a high degree of integrity and ethics
• Complies with applicable regulations, performing all work in a safe manner
• Maintains proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.

Experience:

• Education Bachelors' Degree with 2+ years of Research experience in Biology laboratory setting or Master's Degree in a relevant Scientific area, e.g., Immunology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Medical Laboratory Science
• Ability to operate laboratory equipment and apparatus
• Agile in learning new technology and concepts
• Concise and accurate reporting of technical data and information
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Appropriate level of understanding of applicable regulations
• Experience working in an immunology/biochemistry laboratory environment is desirable
• Required Skills: ELISA, MAMMALIAN CELL CULTURE, GENE EXPRESSION
• Additional Skills: FLOW CYTOMETRY, WESTERN BLOT, IMMUNOASSAY, WHOLE BLOOD
