Your IT Recruiter is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer for our client.
Senior Mechanical Engineer Primary Responsibilities:
- Sizing and preparation of specifications for mechanical equipment and systems.
- Design for materials handling conveyor systems crushing and screening system dust collection control systems chute duct piping systems and equipment layouts in a heavy industrial environment.
- Participates in the preparation of capital cost estimates: calculate capacities weights and develop quantity takeoff.
- Senior Mechanical Engineer develops conceptual through final designs and prepares calculations to verify workability of mechanical details; uses CAD and 3D modeling (Revit or similar) software to produce accurate construction drawings.
- Senior Mechanical Engineer prepares project flow sheet and conducts feasibility studies and creates reports.
- Coordinates with vendors.
- Senior Mechanical Engineer coordinates with multidisciplinary team members.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.
- Good communication skills with ability to coordinate work with other disciplines strong organization skills to manage time effectively and resources efficiently.
- Travel required. Experience in mining or minerals processing is preferred.
- Familiarity with Autodesks Revit AutoCAD Solidworks or Inventor.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience in Software such as Belt Analyst; Bulk Flow analysis; Aggflow; Pipeflow and Caesar II preferred
Role is inperson not accepting candidates who are remote or looking for hybrid schedules.
*Travel is required based upon project needs.
Role can be based out of St. Louis MO or Tucson AZ office.

Senior Mechanical Engineer Education & Experience requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering; M.S. preferred.
- 10 to 15 years of experience
- Active P.E. license
- Background experience in minerals cement and/or lime
- Working knowledge of Revit
- Strong experience in materials handling
- Needs to be a selfstarter personality
- Experience in leading projects

Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. 5 to 10 years of Electrical Engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Motor drive experience is preferred. Skills and Abilities: Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Solid knowledge of engineering design software and equipment. Experience with software programs in assembly, C or higher level for microcontroller based electronic controls. Able to write technical reports and complete documentation within required timeframes. Demonstrate the ability to function calmly in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Detail-oriented while still being connected to the larger project goals/outcomes. Outstanding communication, decision-making and organizational skills. Self-motivated with a willingness to dig in and be hands-on.
