Job Description

We need an Assistant Innkeeper/Events Manager for our beautiful manor-style bed & breakfast inn. The Inn is a large estate with a manor house and cottages. TheAssistant Innkeeper/Events Managerwill report to the onsite owners and the GM and will be the Assistant Innkeeper, Events Manager, and will cook two-days a week. Onsite housing IS included.

Assistant Innkeeper/Events ManagerRequirements:

  • Able to be a gracious host under pressure and in the thick of it
  • At least three years of experience assisting in the management of an upscale Inn, B&B, or boutique hotel with at least ten accommodations, a team of at least six full-time employees, and events
  • Responsible for selling and coordinating small to mid-size events, especially weddings, with up to 60 guests
  • Desired skills: Event sales and coordination, simple B&B-type cooking capabilities, tech-savvy, digital and local marketing, and Internet review sites
  • No smoking on the property

Assistant Innkeeper/Events ManagerCompensation:

  • Base salary in the $40,000 to $45,000 range, studio housing with full kitchen, and 10% of event fees
  • 100% healthcare
  • Two weeks paid time off during off-seasons, three weeks after eight years
