In this position, the candidate will be responsible for installing, upgrading, and configuring ThoughtSpot server software on RHEL Linux servers. The candidate will coordinate with team members to perform daily server management, administration, monitoring, and overall platform support across all environments.

Responsibilities:

Perform and oversee ThoughtSpot installations & upgrades.

Provide software application support.

Configure various server and application settings and parameters

Perform analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements.

Automate all server related jobs and manual tasks

Compose, test and implement Unix shell scripts for various automated procedures

Ensure effective front-end and back-end functionality of applications.

Review and manage server related vulnerabilities

Coordinate with various support partners and vendor teams.

Troubleshoot and investigate server related issues

Perform daily server administration and monitoring

Manage code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality.

Establish the root causes of application errors and escalating serious concerns to the team

Document processes and monitor application performance metrics.

Providing front-end support to clients and colleagues in other departments.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience with strong fundamental knowledge of core BI skills, technical architecture, and platform administration

5+ years of experience in Linux tools and shell scripting or other Linux automation

2+ years of experience as an Automation Engineer (Ansible, Python)

2+ years of experience of IT infrastructure administration or configuration experience

2+ years of bash/shell scripting to automate on Linux

2+ years of experience deploying Code via CI/CD pipelines in tools: Jenkins, Git, GitHub Enterprise (GitHub Actions, branches, etc.), LAMP, JIRA

Advanced knowledge of front-end and back-end programming languages, such as C++, Javascript, Python, and Ruby.

Ability to manage code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor performance.

Advanced proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and repairing them.

Hands on experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
