Job Description

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires a Senior Applications DBA to support migration of Oracle database effort from on-prem to AWS cloud and development support of various applications for NC FAST in AWS Cloud.

Primary responsibilities include managing the application schema, design, and extensions within the database for development, test, and production environments for Oracle database on Linux platform. The responsibilities also include database technical support, performance tuning, application administration and consulting, and providing support for Oracle, Oracle Data guard, Oracle Golden Gate.

This resource will serve in a key role in the creation of database migration plans from on-Prem to AWS, participate in the development of procedures for effective database use and ensuring standards are met.

Other duties include working with developers to identify and refine data requirements, database design, database migration planning, and configuration, performing backup and recovery, monitoring database performance, and reorganizing database structures as needed, and creation and modification of test and production data, base schemas.
