Kitchen Staff - Ice Cream Cafe

Job Overview

We are looking for a Kitchen Staff who is professional and having a passion for dessert making.

You will be responsible for crafting and assisting in preparation of delicious desserts- Gelatos/Sorbets/Yogurts, confectionery along with developing new recipes for the pastry section. You should be passionate about desserts and be inspired to create masterpieces that go beyond our customers expectations.

Responsibilities

• Learning and working with the executive chef, sous chefs and rest of the kitchen team to ensure a successful and productive working environment.
  
• Assisting in making our main products - Gelatos, Sorbets & Yogurts to meet our production requirements.
• Prior knowledge of working in a minus kitchen is preferred.
• Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
• Assisting in creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following set recipes.
• Monitoring the stock of baking/gelato ingredients and communicating the same with the purchase manager
• Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
• Supervising and training staff members, if needed.
• Being a team player ready to take on a dynamic role full of learning. Open to doing everything and adaptable to an European-Indian environment.

Requirements

• Graduate, Hotel management or relevant field
• Keen attention to detail.
• In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
• Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when necessary.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.
• Well versed in the English language - to be able to communicate with our Head Chef!
• 1- 2 years experience in Pantry/Continental kitchen preferred in baking, cake/pastry decorations and similar.
• Ready to take responsibility
• Should be a quick learner
