Job Overview
We are looking for a Kitchen Staff who is professional and having a passion for dessert making.
You will be responsible for crafting and assisting in preparation of delicious desserts- Gelatos/Sorbets/Yogurts, confectionery along with developing new recipes for the pastry section. You should be passionate about desserts and be inspired to create masterpieces that go beyond our customers expectations.
Responsibilities
- Learning and working with the executive chef, sous chefs and rest of the kitchen team to ensure a successful and productive working environment.
- Assisting in making our main products - Gelatos, Sorbets & Yogurts to meet our production requirements.
- Prior knowledge of working in a minus kitchen is preferred.
- Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
- Assisting in creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following set recipes.
- Monitoring the stock of baking/gelato ingredients and communicating the same with the purchase manager
- Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.
- Supervising and training staff members, if needed.
- Being a team player ready to take on a dynamic role full of learning. Open to doing everything and adaptable to an European-Indian environment.
Requirements
- Graduate, Hotel management or relevant field
- Keen attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation, and nutrition.
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings, when necessary.
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, production environment.
- Well versed in the English language - to be able to communicate with our Head Chef!
- 1- 2 years experience in Pantry/Continental kitchen preferred in baking, cake/pastry decorations and similar.
- Ready to take responsibility
- Should be a quick learner
