Building Maintenance Mechanic - Afternoon Shift - Brampton

Building Maintenance Mechanic - PERMANENT afternoon shift - up to $28/hr**

** $1.00/hr added premium for afternoon shift

LOCATION: Brampton, Ontario

Qualifications / Requirements:

* Minimum 2 years of Building / Facility general maintenance work experience
* Experience and knowledge working with minor facility building repairs and plumbing
* Experience with general cleaning / maintenance equipment
* Able to work proactively and take initiative on maintenance projects
* Ability to lift 50 pounds
* Good communication and interpersonal skills required
* Able to work overtime, weekends and be on-call at times (if necessary)

Requirements:

* Responsible for general building maintenance such as install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain facility building while adhering to company and GMP policies and procedures
* Perform general repairs and preventative maintenance, patching and painting on floors, walls, ceilings, and other building items
* Replace / repair locks, doors, door closers, flooring and light bulbs
* Manage and maintain maintenance shop, including inventory and equipment
* Monitor the condition of floors, walls, ceilings, locks, doors, door closers and other building items
* Perform minor plumbing / water faucet repairs
* Follow Food Safety / Health & Safety and GMP policies and procedures
* Conduct maintenance activities ensuring tool control and product safety
