Job Description

Title: Scada/PLC Programmer -Onsite
Location: Lake Mary, FL, USA
Length: Long term
Restriction: W2 or C2C

Description:

*** Long term contract; initial PO for 1 year but usually goes for 4-5 years *** Onsite

Requires a bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 7-10 years related experience in an engineering environment.
Must have a working knowledge of machine controls including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), relay logic, motor controls, VFDs, temperature and pressure controls including PID, thermocouples, RTDs and transducers and operator interfaces.
PLClogic and programming with any of the following PLCs: Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens; and HMI or SCADA programming and configuration of any of the following software packages Wonderware, Rockwell, Intellution, GE Cimplicity, CiTect, Siemens, etc
Must be proficient in reading electrical schematics, ladder logic, and P&ID drawings.
Provide programming support for FTE field technicians.
Ability to utilize and develop HMI and PLC database configuration, HMI graphic development, and PLC control narrative code implementation.
Work as part of a team and independently to evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
Conduct site testing, and make recommendations for systems design, upgrade, and improvement.
Assist senior design engineers as needed on large complex projects.
Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Travel as needed for projects to support design, implementation, start-up and maintenance of projects in the state of Florida.
Select, install and calibrate field process instruments.
Ability to design and integrate control system hardware
Ability to determine machine sequence of operations
Ability to utilizing platforms such as Allen-Bradley (A/B) RS Logix, Koyo, Modicon, Siemens, etc
Ability to troubleshooting various types of machinery with different controllers and relay logic.
Ability to design and install control panels PLC based, write ladder logic programs
Skilled at installing conduit and wire
Require proficiency in MS Office, Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD
Possess strong communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may substitute.
