Job Description
Top Florida Civil company is looking to hire a Bridge/Structural Estimator with 5 years civil construction estimating experience (highway interchanges, bridges and other structural components).
- Experience working for a GCas an estimator bidding on DOT or heavy highway projects required.
- Estimating projects which typically range from 5 million to 50 million dollars.
- Estimating self-performed work and pricing labor, equipment, and material costs.
- Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases.
- Ability to produce accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings.
- Ability to produce detailed, final contract estimates.
- Ability to assess site exposures/construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect these in an estimate.
- Ability to identify constructability issues through the estimating process.
- Ability to identify value-engineering alternatives.
Ability to work as a team. - Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
- Working experience on HCSS software a plus.
- Travel within Florida may be required.
