Job Description
City of Fayetteville,NC
Contract
W-2 Rate- $32/hour Approximately 6 months (There is a chance for extension if they can secure funds). Can also be corp to corp.
Onsite for the first 2 weeks of training and then be onsite 2-3 days per week and remote the rest of the time (hybrid)
Up to 40 hours per week working with PD on multiple projects/tasks from day to day operations help desk support to crime initiative projects.

TIPs CIPs (This stands for Technology Improvement Plan)
FUSUS (This is a software the police dept. uses and the contractor will learn after coming onboard-The paragragh highlighted below is what is needed skill wise)
Brite/Rekor License Plate Reader Implementation
Shot Detection System
Netmotion Upgrade
Wireless Network review and performance tweaking
Axon In car video network management
Camera Network Support
Helpdesk Assistance/Technical Consultation
911/County network support
Potential First Net Cellular Transition
911 Generators
Public Safety Training Center
Radio Upgrade
The Network Administrator provides top tier network maintenance, administration and access control for the City of Fayettevilles local area network/wide area network (LAN/WAN) data communications. Maintain network communication protocols to ensure the City network is available to all systems and users. To troubleshoot LAN/WAN network and communications problems. Provide daily proactive network asset and performance analysis, network access control, logging, tuning and management of all switches, routers, virtual private network (VPN) devices and firewall devices necessary for routine network operations.
1. Provide technical and operational support of the Citys network infrastructure.
2. Provide real time monitoring and active deployment of the Citys network infrastructure.
3. Provide current network documentation for LAN/WAN network.
4. Administer VPN profiles for remote user access.
5. Research, analyze and plan network upgrades, new products and peripheral equipment.
6. Research, analyze and implement networking components.
7. Provide troubleshooting support for all network components.
8. Assist with security administration.
9. Assist with determining policy and procedures for network application purchases, upgrades and
modifications.
10. Attend and participate in professional and technical meetings relating to network issues; stay abreast of technological changes or advancements in wide area network; read and interpret technical publications and manuals.
11. May assist in providing telecommunication analysis and implement configuration accordingly.
