Job Description

JOB DIMENSIONS
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for completing various compensation assignments, administering, and evaluating compensation programs as directed by the Director of Compensation. This individual will work in a team and collaborative environment and will have the opportunity to grow and developed amongst a group of high achieving professionals across the organization. This person must have strong analytical skills be a problem solver, and must be able to partner and work with the HRBPs, team and others.
KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Evaluations/Equity Analyses (70%)
  • Assists in the implementation and administration of job analysis, job matching, job leveling and job calibrations across business units, globally.
  • Performs compensation benchmarking for area(s) supported, ensuring the competitiveness of Client's job grading system and adherence to the Company's overall total rewards strategy. This process involves reviewing job descriptions and selecting appropriate matches in various surveys, gathering accompanying compensation data. Determines FLSA status. Also suggests compensation package for field, business and functions offers and salary adjustment related to internal equity reviews.
  • Performs various internal pay analysis as requested
  • Prepare compensation offers and salary increase recommendations
  • Provides company submission for compensation surveys (executive and non-executive) conducted by third party vendors.
Annual Merit and Bonus Programs (15%)
Supports the year-end bonus and merit process as requested
Relationship and collaboration with HRBPs and Business Units, and Team (15%)
Answers queries on compensation matters, programs and processes.
Provides direct support to leadership on compensation questions/issues
Researches and prepares special studies on select compensation subjects, as needed
Coaches and assists with the training/development of new team members when applicable
Ensures compensation practices and programs comply with Federal, state and local regulation and legislation
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
Minimal travel involved
Supports the site HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements
Participates in HES activities provided by site management (e.g., Behavioral Base Safety, SafeStart, etc.)
Supports and promotes the reporting of all health, safety, environmental, near-miss, accident or injury incidents
REQUIRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS /WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business or Finance or equivalent experience; strong mathematical orientation
2 4 years in compensation field; advanced proficiency with Excel; experience with HRIS and ERP systems required; SAP and Success Factors experience preferred
DEMONSTRATED COMPETENCIES (DESCRIBE BEHAVIORS NECESSARY FOR ROLE)
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal); strong results orientation; attention to detail; excellent customer service orientation/responsive; ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision or follow-up; ability to manage multiple projects, prioritizing independently
