Your Role
Incumbents are responsible for planning, organizing, supervising, reviewing, and evaluating the work of assigned staff and for overseeing day-to-day maintenance, installation, repair, and servicing of equipment and machinery used in assigned operations.
- Oversees the work of a whole maintenance team that ensures a companys machines are running smoothly.
- Work primarily with the technicians and other employees on duty to lead and motivate the team and delegate tasks accordingly.
- Conduct routine checks and preventative maintenance to avoid unexpected breakdowns but will also step in to troubleshoot repairs once a machine stops working.
- Ensures the timely completion of preventive and predictive maintenance programs; recommends special work or necessary equipment maintenance; plans and oversees the testing of mechanical equipment on an ongoing basis; develops, reviews and updates written maintenance instructions and schedules.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Mechanical degree or equivalent experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or equivalent industry preferred.
- Minimum 5 year of related industry experience required in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Experience with regulated environments (i.e. cGMP, OSHA, EPA) and working in clean room environments is preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering, equipment, and automation principles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude or knowledge of electronic / mechanical equipment is required.
- High attention to detail in order to solve a range of routine and non-routine problems.
- Ability and willingness to travel is preferred.
