Junior Accountant

About the role

We are currently looking to enhance our finance department by hiring a German speaking junior Accountant, a newly created position at an exciting growing company. You will be reporting to the Senior Accountant and will join a small finance team that believes in teamwork and which will give you incredible exposure.

Responsibilities

• Recording and processing of purchase invoices
• Preparation of payments
• Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
• Managing the company debit cards
• Assist with book-keeping and annual financial statements
• Assist with VAT returns
• Assist with management of bank accounts
• Liaise with external providers and auditors
• Any additional tasks which may be assigned from time to time

Requirements

• Qualified or partly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Methodical, organized and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a team with a can-do attitude
• Self-motivated and eager to learn
• Strong computer literate skills and proficient excel user
• Strong communication skills
• Must be fluent in English and German
