In the German and Englishspeaking markets alone approximately 10 million professionals spend considerable time creating presentations. Zapdeck aims to transform this process with our highperformance AI software enabling users to produce professionally designed presentations in just minutes.

At the heart of Zapdeck we leverage the latest in machine learning technology presenting it through an intuitive draganddrop user interface. This seamless integration ensures that our powerful AI capabilities are accessible to all users regardless of their technical expertise.

The presentation creation industry is a multibillion dollar market currently undergoing significant disruption due to advancements in generative AI. Weve partnered with leading consultancies and agencies for beta testing and are in the process of raising preseed investment to further our growth in the next weeks.

As a cofounder you will join Frederik a former BCG consultant and UX designer for business software at SAP and Riccardo an exCPO at an InsurTech startup with extensive experience in building machine learning products.

Tasks

• Lead frontend development: Drive the development of our intuitive highperformance webbased software interface ensuring a seamless UX.
• Establish layout components: Work closely with the team to define and implement flexible layout components used to generate professional slides.
• Ensure high code quality: Maintain high standards of code quality ensuring robust maintainable and scalable frontend codebases.
• Contribute to product strategy: Play a key role in shaping the product strategy by providing insights into frontend development capabilities and limitations.
• Grow and manage a team: Hire engineering staff plan the technical product roadmap and act as a sparring partner for junior team members.
• Represent Zapdeck: Foster partnerships attend industry events and promote the companys vision and achievements to stakeholders and the media.

Requirements

Professional requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with React 3 years with TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of MVC and MVVM architectural patterns.
• Proficient in consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Expertise in writing modular and maintainable CSS using SCSS or CSSinJS libraries such as styledcomponents.
• Ideally: Experience working in a company related to content media or design such as webbased tools for graphic design or video editing.

Other requirements

• Residency Germany preferably Berlin
• Valid work authorization (no sponsorship available)
• Strong passion for founding a company with a selfdriven work style and the resilience to thrive in fastpaced ambiguous environments.
• Fluency in German or English.
• Ideally: Available to start in the new position within a short time frame.
