Job Description

We are looking for a team member for our Data Science / Computer Vision team!

Requirement: 6+ months mandatory internship for university or thesis project

Start: by arrangement / immediately

Location: D sseldorf-Bilk

At Livello, we are testing and planning different computer vision techniques. For example, using a computer vision based multi-camera product recognition solution that detects people and products in the Smart-Kiosks. It tracks the inserted/removed products based on movement tracking in the room and individual shelves during the purchase/refill sessions of the fridge. The system works in sync with the weight sensors minimizing the errors due to false detections while providing better accuracy of product tracking. It also identifies the misplaced products and alerts the users. Our solutions have been developed on the basis of Tensorflow, OpenCV, and Python.

  • Working in the area of Computer Vision and Machine Learning, with focus on product (primarily food) and people recognition (position, movement, age, gender, DSGVO compliant)
  • Your work will include formulation and development of Machine Learning models
  • Documentation, verification and testing of the created software, as well as software integration
  • Working independently on your own projects as well as team-projects

Requirements

  • Studies in the field of computer science / electrical engineering / data science
  • Proficient in Python, OpenCV and Tensorflow (optional: Docker)
  • Experience in image processing, algorithms and neural networks
  • Cooperative and independent work, analytical mindset, and willingness to take responsibility
  • Fluent in English

Benefits

  • A responsible position in a fast-growing and highly innovative start-up
  • An agile and diverse team with colleagues from all over the world
  • English speaking open work environment, with flat hierarchies and short decision-making paths
  • Dog-friendly office in a prime location with lots of shopping/restaurant options nearby
  • Advanced technology stack leveraging cutting-edge IoT hardware and software
  • Creative freedom for own ideas, projects and personal development
  • Team building, learning and start-up events
